Just curious when the track might be open for practice?

The track does not officially open until March 31st and that is dependent on track condition and the weather. I checked it on March 23rd and it was drying out nicely. If we don’t get too much rain in the next week, I can see being able to open the gates on March 31st.
Racing starts on April 2nd.

Dave,
Hey, it’s David Randleman (Connor Randleman’s dad, I used to work at Olympia Cycle). You might have heard that T.H.O.R. and ActiveOmaha have begun building a beginner’s MTB trail at Adams Park (33rd & Bedford). In conjunction with the trail there will be a challenge course (rocks, logs, etc.) AND a pump track. We need a source for dirt and probably some expertise in building the pump track, so I immediately thought of you. If you can help us get ahold of some dirt and would like to help design and/or build the pump track, then please get ahold of me (312-5071) or Roxanne Feagan (see THOR website or email roxanne.abbott@gmail.com) We’d love to have your expertise and assistance!
thanks,
David Randleman

While going through my sports file, I came upon your email address and information and therefore am sending you a notice that we would like to offer preferred rates for BMX – Friends and Family…I would like to email you a listing of all of our hotels and can offer you preferred-set rates, making sure those hotels have these rates loaded – thank you and have a great year racing!!!!

Shawn. It does not cost anything when we are not running events. There is a pedestrian gate on the westside that is unlocked. When it rains we lock the gate to keep people off until the track dries out. During non racing season which runs about November to March the gate is closed at all times. We do have some novice and intermediate riders in that range and older. They don’t make it out every weekend but there should always be someone for you to race. Remember to have fun and ride within your limits. Hope to see you out there!
